Natalie Packer is an Independent SEND Consultant with a passion for supporting schools, trusts and other organisations to develop inclusive practices that improve outcomes for all learners.

Biography

As an experienced leader and trainer, Natalie provides a wide range of strategic support and continuing professional development to schools, trusts and other educational institutions. She offers SEND reviews and support for MATs with their strategic development of SEND. She is an Associate Consultant for nasen, Whole Education and Forum Strategy and is a Leadership Matters Ambassador.

Natalie has previously worked for the National Strategies SEN Team, DfE SEN Policy Team and several local authorities as an Adviser for SEND. She has had primary headship experience and has previously been a SENCO. Natalie has also worked internationally as a consultant governor in Dubai, as well as providing SEND support for schools in Germany and Luxembourg. 
 
As a leading SEND expert for Optimus and The Key for School Leaders, Natalie regularly writes online articles and develops webinars for SEND CPD. She is currently working with Routledge Publishers editing a new series of SEND books for classroom practitioners. 

Natalie is the author of The Perfect SENCO, an essential read for those wanting to develop their strategic SEND role effectively. Her second book, The Teacher’s Guide to SEN, provides an overview of what all teachers need to know about SEND and was nominated for a national Educational Resources Award. Natalie has recently published her third book, co-authored with SEND Consultant David Bartram OBE, Beyond Boundaries: Leading Great SEND Provision Across a Trust.
